Arlene Gidney from Farmington, NM; born in Pyrites, New York on January 27th, 1935 as Arlene Joyce Marie Lumbard to Eugene and Myrtle Lumbard. Marrying Billy Jack Gidney on September 4th 1966.

Arlene was a joyful, very independent caring woman whom absolutely loved her large growing family. Her devoted children include Larry Dunn, Becky Dunn, Brenda Chambers and her husband John Chambers, Eric Gidney and his wife Amparo, and Stacy Curtis and wife Kit. Her loving grandchildren include Shannon Buckley and her husband Neil Carson, John Buckley and his wife Brittany, Nathan Wood and his partner Brandon Wood (and 8 children) Katrina Dunn, Katie Dunn, Christopher Dunn, and Rhiannon Dunn. She was blessed to be able to watch her great grandchildren Michael and Jamee Buckley-Nix grow. She was the heart and soul of the family.

In life, Arlene enjoyed Watching her soap operas, swimming at the Lions Pool, dancing, coloring, and doing her puzzles. One of her most favorite things was being surrounded by family and enjoying great food. Christmas and Thanksgiving especially were some of the best moments. Arlene was our inspiration and world.

The funeral mass will take place at 10:00am Friday May 7th ,2021 at Sacred Heart: 414 N Allen Ave Farmington, NM 87401

The burial is to be followed at Memory Gardens where she will be laid to rest with her husband Billy Jack Gidney. Face Masks Are Required.
