Annabell Harrison

Mom, Grandma, Sister, Cousin, Auntie, Friend...Annabell Harrison went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2024. She was 93 years old. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. Annabell was born May 3, 1930 at Mitten Rock, NM to John and Nancy Redhouse. Her clan is Bitahnii born for the Kinlichiinii. her Chei's are Ashihii and Nali's are Nakaidinei. Born and raised to hardworking disciplinarians, she became accustomed to living close to her parents all her life. Annabell took on the task of caretaking for her parents in their elder years.

Her education was minimal, but she was intelligent and wise beyond any modern educational endeavor. Annabell was an entrepreneur as a caterer for approximately 30 years. She had a large customer base mainly in Shiprock, NM. Her mission statement was to serve the best sandwhiches, baked goods and desserts for her customers.

She married Robert Harrison in the late 40's and the marriage produced eight children. Two boys who died in infancy. Six daughters whom she raised alone as a single parent. Roxanna Harrison, Sheri Campbell, Ida (John) Baker, Lori (Phil) Hewlett, Verni (Bill) Yazza, and Vera "Toni" Haskell. Her siblings are Paul Kinlichiinii (Navajo Code Talker), Howard Redhouse (Juanita), Raymond Redhouse (Shirley), Minnie Hamilton (Bruce), Lena Johnson (Leo), Cato Redhouse (Loretta) and Daisy Mark (Wilbur).

Her grandchildren, Donnarae Lozano (John), Kordell Saenz (Jeanette), Saasha Campbell (Travis), Aero Boyer, Brian Weaver, Ciara Thompson (Tyson), Tyler Baker, Burk Benally, Jake Hewlett, Alec Hewlett, Deaunabah Yazza, Yanibah Yazza, Jovan Lovato, Jeremiah Haskell. In addition, Annabell had eight great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren.

Preceding Annabell's passing are her parents, John and Nancy Redhouse, siblings Paul Kinlichiinii, Howard Redhouse Sr., Raymond Redhouse; daughters Toni Haskell and Sheri Campbell; and grandsons Kordell Saenz, Brian Weaver and Jeremiah Haskell.

Annabell always taught the word of God. She enjoyed reading the Bible in Navajo, She demonstrated and taught the power of prayer and advising her family to always focus on God for answers. She loved to attend the summer camp meetings in Wheatfield, AZ and Cottonwood Pass, NM. Goodness and humility flowed from her through her testimony and her strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Today Annabell is praising God until we see her again; the angels welcomed her to her permanent home.
