Christian Doniciano Sandoval passed away on August 6, 2023 in San Rafael, New Mexico. He was 28 years of age. He was born October 20, 1994 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was an avid team and calf roper, active in the rodeo, and was named A&E’s television show Rookie of the Year. He was a believer in his traditional Native American beliefs. He was a talented artist, enjoyed watching his daughter play sports, he loved the outdoor life and hunting. Christian had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He will be remembered as being a great dad, brother and son. He was loved and will be missed.
He is survived by his father; Dion Sandoval (Marissa), his mother, Jolynn Martinez (Juan), his daughter Bailee Faith Sandoval, and his significant other, Ana Ibarra as well as his siblings; Troy Sandoval (Ana), Jason Sandoval, Monique Sandoval, Zabrina Cheromiah, Nicholas Cheromiah, Genesis Cheromiah, Evelynn Cheromiah, Landon Cheromiah, Matthew Morales, and Kylie Martinez (Brian). His aunts and uncles; Danielle Sandoval (Tony), Danette Sandoval (Mario Jesus), Jason Waseta, and Justin Suazo along with their families. His in-laws, Robbi and Luis Ibarra.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Wilkie and Hazel Sandoval, Joe Waseta, and Rita and Dale Suazo.
On Thursday, August 17, 2023 at San Rafael Catholic Church a viewing will begin at 9:00 AM. At 9:30 AM a Rosary will be recited, then at 10:00 AM a Mass will be celebrated by Father John Paul Sauter. Burial will take place afterward at San Rafael Community Cemetery. A reception will follow at the San Rafael Catholic Church Hall.
Pallbearers include; Mark Jaramillo, Lee Chavez, Billy Rangel, Terry Small, Troy Sandoval, Jason Sandoval, Nicholas Cheromiah, and Luis Ibarra.
Honorary pallbearers include; his many family and friends.
Cope Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
