Connie Ulibarri

Consuelo “Connie” Ulibarri, 81 years old, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father in Bloomfield, NM on September 10, 2021. She was born on May 28, 1940 in La Puente NM to Epifania Lopez Ulibarri and Miguel Jose Ulibarri.  Connie was the person who took care of everyone in her family beginning with her siblings at an early age and then onto her own family. She was the one who taught our faith traditions and cooking traditions. She was someone with a great spirit to live. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, embroidery, and quilting. She loved fresh flowers and gardening. As a young lady she enjoyed traveling and dancing. When she worked at Bloomfield Central School as a cook; she quickly became nina or grandma to many of the kids. Connie loved life, she truly enjoyed her grandkids and when her great-grandsons came along, she adored them too. Connie was a strong person who valued everyday… her famous saying, “Thank you Jesus for every day you lend us.”

Connie is preceded in death by her Parents; Daughter Margaret Mossburg; Brothers Octaviano Roy Ulibarri and Florentino Ulibarri; and Sister Udilia Ulibarri.

She is survived by her Husband Roberto Ulibarri; Daughters Peggy Ulibarri-Munoz, Marie Ann Ulibarri, and Roberta (Steve) Calton, and Sophie Ulibarri; Brothers Ramon Ulibarri and Seledon (Betty) Ulibarri; Sister Lucille (Roger) Lozano; Grandchildren Michelle (Arron) Halstead, Justin Ulibarri, Monica Mossburg, Jazzmine & Victoria Calton, Vanessa Mossburg, Luke Null; and Great-grandchildren Bryson Roth and Grayson Mossburg.

Services will be held beginning with a rosary at 10:30am on Friday, September 24, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 2100 E. 20th Street in Farmington, NM. The funeral will begin following the rosary at 11:00. A committal will follow the funeral at the Columbarium behind St. Mary’s church. A reception will be announced at the service.
