Curtis Lee Story of Aztec, New Mexico died unexpectedly on September 21, 2021 at the age of 56 at his residence.
Curtis was born in Monticello, Utah on May 27, 1965 to Jerry and Teenie Story. He attended high school in Dove Creek, Colorado. After high school Curtis started driving truck which was his lifelong passion, you name it…. Curtis could haul it. If Curtis wasn’t driving truck, he was working on a drill rig.
In 1987 Curtis met and married Lisa Moore. They had four children; Theron Curtis Story, Levi Cody Story, Leah Noel Story and Sierra Lynn Story. Curtis & Lisa lived and worked throughout the Four Corners area while raising their 4 children. They settled in Aztec, NM in 2005.
Curtis was a devoted father, he loved the outdoors, hunting, snowmobiling, motorcycles and everything Dodge. His most recent love was his 7 grandchildren. He adored them so much and they loved their ‘Papa’. He will be missed by all his family and friends. Curtis was a fearless man nothing stood in his way. He was a very loving, caring, hard-working man and would give you the shirt off of his back.
Curtis is survived by his children; Theran Curtis Story, Levi Cody Story (Kyla Martinez) Leah Noel Story, Sierra Lynn Story (Branden Huntington) his grandchildren; Owen, Navaeh, Malakai, Haizlee, Oaklynn, Leeland and Carson all from Aztec NM; his half brother William Curt Story of Chubbuck ID and half sister Linda Whitecker, and several nieces and nephews.
Curtis was preceded in death by his grandparents William and Jeanette Story; his parents, Jerry and Teenie Story; his sister Jerry Lynn Ringleman his half sister Terry Falkner and Lisa Moore.
Funeral service is scheduled at 10 AM on Friday October 1st at the Hope City Church at 308 West Broadway in Farmington, New Mexico.
