Dewey Everett Scholten

Dewey E. Scholten of Farmington, NM passed away Monday June 27, 2022 at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque. He was 87. He was born on September 15, 1934 in Big Timber, MT to Guy & Jesse Scholten. He was a graduate of Sweet Grass High School in Big Timber.

Dewey was in the Air Force and served in Japan and Albuquerque, NM. He stayed in Albuquerque after his discharge and became a proud member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local # 412 in Albuquerque. He moved his family to Farmington in 1968 where he remained for the rest of his life. He loved the outdoors and woodworking in his shop.

Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jim of Big Timber, and Granddaughter Mallory of Colorado Springs. He is survived by Darlene, his wife of 64 years, son Craig and his wife Melinda of Broadalbin, NY, brother Gerald of Denver, CO and Grandson, Semajay Green in Lake George, CO.

As per his wishes, there will not be a service. His ashes will be interred at Memory Gardens in Farmington.
