Ella Mae Natonabah Corley

Ella Mae Natonabah Corley, 83 of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 10, 2021. Ella was born on March 22, 1938 in Rehoboth, New Mexico to David Natonabah and Emma Wilson Natonabah. She was born to the Kinlichiinii clan, For the Ta’neeszhanii clan, Chei; A’shiihi and Na’a’lii; Kiyaa’a’nii.

Ella attended her elementary school years at Rehoboth Mission School and went on to graduate from Ft. Wingate High School. From there she entered into the BIA placement Program, which took her to Los Angeles California. She also took some college courses at UNM Gallup Branch. Ella worked with the BIA starting in Many Farms, Arizona as a home living Assistant and after 31 years, she retired in Ft. Wingate, New Mexico. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, jigsaw puzzles, playing games on her tablet and working with word puzzles.

Ella is preceded in death by her ex-husband; David Corley, son; Oscar Merle Corley, parents; David Natonabah and Emma Wilson Natonabah, brothers; David Natonabah, Rueben Natonabah, and Ernest Natonabah, sister; Nora Natonabah, grandchildren; Renata Garcia, Andrew Torrez, Raphael Torrez and Alex Richards. She is survived by her son; Phillip Cornelius Corley, daughters; Priscilla Mae Cook, Patricia Mae Richards, Pamela Jean Shorty, Phyllis Mae Shorty, Louella Mae Corley, sisters; Hazel Hurd and Heather Natonabah. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great- Grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 @ 2:00 PM at the Eastside Church of Christ. Pastor Nathan Wheeler will be officiating and reception will follow.
