Geneva Roberta Thompson

Geneva Roberta Thompson passed away on November 20, 2021 in Grants, New Mexico. She was 79 years of age. She was born on February 14, 1942 in McComas, West Virginia.

She was active with the Grants Senior Citizens’ Center, participating in the Senior Olympics, and the Foster Grandma program with the Cibola County Schools. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, painting color by numbers and ceramics. Her family will remember all of the precious time that they would spend together as a family. She was loved and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughters; Angela Barela and her husband Tommy, Monica LaBlue and her husband Lonny. Three grandchildren; Shelby LaBlue, Evan LaBlue, and Acacia Barela. One great-granddaughter; Anastasia Briones. Two brothers; Samuel Thompson, and Ronnie Thompson and his wife Dolores. One sister; Peggy Workman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; James Franklin Thompson and Mary Magdalene Browning Thompson. Her brothers; Darrell Thompson, Wayne Thompson, and Jimmy Thompson. One sister; Patsy Woods.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date. Her cremated remains will be placed with her parents in West Virginia.

Honorary Pallbearers include; Tommy Barela, Lonny LaBlue, Evan LaBlue, Samuel Thompson, and Ronnie Thompson.

Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup is entrusted with arrangements.
