Jaiden Zion Hewey

Jaiden Zion Hewey age 20, beloved son of Cherilynn Tsosie and the late Garrett Hewey, went to be with our Lord on Friday October 29th 2021 in Shiprock, NM. Jaiden was a talented basketball, baseball player, boxer, snowboarder, animal lover, beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Whether it be on the basketball court, field, or just spending time with his friends and family Jaiden’s smile, humor, and gentle kindness could fill any room with an abundant amount of love and laughter, touching the lives of all those who knew him.

Jaiden is preceded in death by his father Garrett O. Hewey, his maternal grandmother Sandra L. Greyeyes and his great grandmother Cora G. Greyeyes.

In addition to his parents, Jaiden is survived by his twin brother Hakaan Hewey, paternal great grandmother Rose M. Clark ; paternal grandparents George and Lula Hewey; maternal great grandfather David Greyeyes;  maternal grandfather Elliott Tsosie (Wanda Tsosie) ; uncles Grant Hewey, Shaeden Tsosie; aunts Melissa Ray (Tracy O’neil) , Jenny Phillips (Billy Phillips jr.) , Ashley Tsosie (Gabriel Jim), Keturah Hewey (Bradley Williams), Kaitlynn Tsosie; cousins Donnell Ray Jr. (Caylee Ray), Mykyla Ray, Shaylee Jim, Talayla Jim, Alysse Phillips; long- time girlfriend Rasheena Bedah; close friends Jassiah Manuelito, Marcel Pete and his faithful furry companions Koda and Davos.

Funeral services for Jaiden will be held at 12:00 pm- 1:00pm on Monday November 8th, 2021 at Pinon Hills Community Church in Farmington, New Mexico. Graveside service will follow at Kirtland Fruitland Cemetery, proceeding the burial there will be a drive through reception at Riverside Bread of Life Church in Fruitland, NM. Arrangements are by Cope Memorial Chapel.
