Jerry Newton

March 13, 1961 — April 7, 2024

Bloomfield

Jerry Newton was born on March 13, 1961 at Shiprock, NM. His maternal clan was Red Streak Running Into Water and his paternal clan was Folded Arms People. Jerry was the son of the late David and Elsie Newton. He resided in Otis at his family’s residence all his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents David and Elsie Newton and his older brother Gary Newton. He is survived by his six brothers; Larry (Liz), Terry, Perry, Barry (Rose), Darryl (Juanita), and David Jr. (Ora), and his many nephews and nieces, and grandchildren.

Jerry graduated from Farmington High School. After high school, he found employment at Grand Central, Dillard’s, and Sam’s club. At his last employment at Sam’s club, he was a fork lift operator. Jerry had good work ethics at work and at home.

Jerry was loved by all of his family and friends. He was always willing to help when he was asked. Jerry showed his love for his parents by providing for them. He liked to spend time with family, watched a variety of movies and college sports. Jerry was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. In his spare time, he liked to bake and he made delicious bread.

Towards the latter end of his life, he fought his sickness. He remained humble and joyful.

On behalf of the Newton family, we extend our gratitude for his health care; Dr. Pandya, his nurse Suzanne at Fresenius Kidney Care, and many more medical staff.

Jerry will be greatly missed by his brothers, family, and friends.
