Joseph Arellanez

Joseph Michael Arellanez, 62, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on August 22, 2021. He was born on June 21, 1959 to parents Dora C. Valdez and Prudenico L. Arellanez in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Joseph was a very happy soul that loved freely. Never a moment without a smile and a laugh that filled the room with joy. Joseph was a magnificent grace of God that will never be replaced but will always be remembered. Moments captured will always be  in our hearts. Rest in Peace.

Joseph was survived by his brothers: Willie Smathers, Rick Arellanez, and Alex Arellanez; his sisters: Dora(Jeanie) Jones (boyfriend James Martinez), Doris M. Arellanez, and Darlene Sandoval; his Tio Paco and Tia Marcila Valdez; his Nieces: Christina Jones, Courtnita Jones, and Erin Smathers; his Nephew Santiago Martinez; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

There will be a public viewing at 5:00pm on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Cope Memorial Chapel Farmington. Masks are required and this is a limit of 15 people in the building at once. A memorial service is being planned by family and will be announced in the near future.
