Lisa Ann Moore, age 49, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2018.
Lisa was born on December 21, 1968 in Alamosa, CO to the late Reverend Lawrence A. Moore Sr. and Joann Quintana Moore. The family moved to Stockton, CA in 1972. Her brother, Lawrence A. Moore Jr. was born the following year. Throughout her childhood, Lisa lived in Alamosa, Rocky Ford and Boulder, CO, moving to Blanding, UT in 1984.
Lisa graduated from San Juan High School in Blanding, Utah in 1987. Shortly after graduation, Lisa married Curtis Story. They had 4 children; Theran Curtis Story, their first, was born on December 27,1990 in Monticello, UT. Levi Cody Story was born November 24, 1992 also in Monticello, UT. Their third child Leah Noel Story was born on April 17, 1996 in Cortez, CO and the baby of the family, Sierra Lynn Story was born on August 5, 1999 in Cortez, CO.
Lisa's love for children lead her into the childcare field where she worked over 23 years. Lisa worked for daycare facilities in Cortez, Aztec and Farmington, and spent the last 10 years as the Nursery Director for World Harvest Center.
She was a member of World Harvest Center Church and cherished the many friendships that she developed while being a part of the church family.
Lisa's love for her own family ran deep, her kids and grandkids were her greatest treasure. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for her family.
Lisa touched many lives, both young and old, through her loving heart and generous spirit.
Lisa was preceded in death by her Grandfather Ralph Quintana of Stockton, CA, Grandmother Mary Quintana of Stockton,CA, Grandmother Domitila Quintana of Alamosa, CO and her father Lawrence A. Moore Sr. of Alamosa, CO.
She is survived by her mother Joann Moore of Alamosa, CO, her brother, Pastor Lawrence A. Moore Jr. and his wife Serena of Farmington, NM. Her children, T.C. Story, Levi Story, Leah Story and Sierra Story of Aztec, NM. Her grandkids Nevaeh, Malachi, Owen, Haizley, Carson and Oaklynn of Aztec, NM as well as multiple nieces and nephews, and numerous children who loved Lisa as "Nana".
Services will be held at World Harvest Center Church at 1024 N. Butler Ave. Farmington, NM 87401 on Saturday, July 28 at 10:30AM. Pastor Christie Dewees will officiate.
