Mario Andy Manuelito, age 51 of Farmington, New Mexico, of the Salt People and born for Bitter Water Clan has entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Mario Manuelito was born in Gallup, NM on June 17, 1972. Our beloved Mario was a son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many. He is survived by his parents Leo Andy Manuelito and Esther C. Manuelito; children Joshua Manuelito and Ashanti Manuelito; sisters Michelle Manuelito-Loney and Stefanie Beyale. He is preceded in death by his sons Marino Manuelito and Marcus Manuelito; daughter Chelsea Manuelito; brother Michael Manuelito; and paternal and maternal grandparents.
Mario was a great athlete and graduated from Kirtland Central High School in 1990. Mario had worked for several businesses and was well known as a Security Officer for various companies from the local oil fields, NAPI, Armored Services, Detention centers and more. He was a very kind person that was open to everyone. Mario enjoyed watching The Walton’s and Little House on the Prairie alongside his companion chihuahua, Tiny, always by his side. Mario Manuelito will truly be missed and loved.
A viewing is scheduled to be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at COPE Memorial Chapel in Farmington at 6:00 PM for a short period of time.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the family plot in Tohatchi, NM at 10am officiated by Larry Jack. Pallbearers will be Joshua Manuelito, Leo Andy Manuelito, Myri Castillo, Leo Paul Castillo, Ugene Tsosie, Denise C. Tsosie, Ellianna Tsosie, Conroy Martin and Heather Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Castillo and Ashanti Manuelito.
