Max Bradley, 84, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on the evening of January 1, 2024. Max was born January 11, 1939, at Bisti, New Mexico to Lydia and Russell Bradley. Max’s clan was Tlaash Chíí born for Naakaii Dine'é; Tabaaha was his maternal grandparent’s clan and Taneeszahnii was his fraternal grandparent’s clan. 

 

Max served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. Upon his military discharge, Max built homes all over the reservation with his buddies. He retired from BHP and lived in Sand Springs, NM, for years and then in Aztec, NM, for his remaining years until his death.   Max attended and graduated from the Navajo Methodist Mission on May 21, 1960. (Now known as Navajo Prep).

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Lydia Bradley; his wife Lucy Bradley; his grandparents Hosteen Biye Ettcitty & Minnie Silversmith and Redhorse Begay.

 

Max is survived by his kids Emery, Cindy, Maxine, Marsha, Jeffersina, and Melanie.  His siblings Shirley, Wilson, Linda, Wilfred, Watson, and Faye. 

 

Schedule of Events:

1/9/24 09:00 am - 09:30 am - Viewing will be held at Kirtland Cope Memorial

1/9/24 10:30 am - 11:30 am - Burial will follow at the Bradley Family Cemetery in Burnham, NM. Military Honors will be done at the Bradley Family cemetery. 

1/9/24 12:00 pm - 02:00 pm - Reception at the Burnham Veterans Building at Burnham, NM. 

 

A celebration of life and Memorial service will be held at Tíís Tsoh Sikaad (Burnham) Chapter March 23, 2024, at a time to be determined.
