Robert Daniel Huntsman

Bob Huntsman, 60, of Aztec passed away on May 22, 2021. Bob was born in Gallup, New Mexico to Darlene and Daniel Huntsman. Bob was a long time resident of San Juan County, but had also lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico after his parents divorce with his mother and step-dad Lee Hoover.

In his youth Bob was active in rodeo as a bull rider and bronc rider and participated in baseball, FFA and 4-H. After moving to Farmington he graduated from Farmington High School in 1979 and married the love of his life, Cynthia Ford on June 5, 1981.Together he and Cindy had two children, Kodie and Tom, and also helped raise their niece Ciera.

Bob was a loving father and family man who enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, camping and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren who adored their "Papa".

Bob was a very talented cabinet maker, mechanic, a journeyman fabricator of trailers and oilfield equipment, butcher and welder. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He supported his kids and grandkids in all their rodeo, county fair and sports activities.

Bob was preceded in death by numerous family members and loved ones.

Bob is survived by his wife Cindy, daughter Kodie and husband Chris, son Tom and wife Krysta of Aztec and niece Ciera and husband Ray Lopez of Puyallup Washington, brother Jaeson Huntsman of Alamogordo sister Niki (Hoover) Marshall of Aztec, brother Edwin Huntsman of San Diego, brother Nathan Huntsman, sisters Ashley and Alyssa Huntsman,step mother Karen Huntsman of Farmington, his grandchildren Joshua Huntsman, Wyatt and Dustin Fiztgerald, Everett and William Huntsman, father in law Coy Ford of Farmington, mother in law Audrey Eaton of Sarasota, Florida and brother in law Max Herrera of Sarasota, Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery on Thursday May 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Rome Wager presiding. Pallbearers will be Rusty Smith, Andrew Galloway, Jimmy Clugston, Scott Roglin,Ed and Talon Easley . Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Easley ,Joshua Huntsman, Wyatt and Dustin Fitzgerald, and Everett and William Hunstman. A celebration of life dinner will be held at Bob and Cindy's family home after the service.
