Dr. Stanley Elmer Sanders Sr. (DOC) passed away on March 2, 2024, after fighting a five-year battle with Cancer at San Juan Regional Hospital surrounded by supportive and loving family.
Stanley was born in Portland, Oregon on April 14, 1945, and was the oldest of 7 Sibling.
He married Jeanette (McCloud) Sanders in 1966 and had 5 children. He attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO and graduated in 1976. Stanley cared for his patients for 15 + years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his son David Sanders, Parents Roger & Willie Mae Sanders, Grandson's Marcus & Tyler Sanders, Brothers Roger & Michael Sanders.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette Sanders, Sons Wayne, Mark & Stanley Sanders Jr., and daughter Melissa Foutz. Sisters Shirley Owens, Marsha Skinner, Susie Payne, and brother Gary Sanders.
18 Grandchildren & 20 Great-Grandchildren, who all loved and adored him.
Anyone who knew Stanley, loved Stanley. He was everyone's friend and definitely loved to tease them. There is nothing he wouldn't do for not only his family and friends but for a complete stranger. He had a Heart of Gold and was truly an example of Christ-Like Man. Stanley loved the Lord and we know he is pain free and rejoicing with loved ones. He will be greatly missed but we also celebrate and cherish the remarkable life he lived and the profound impact he had on those around him. He will live in our hearts forever.
A funeral service to honor Stanley's life will be held on Saturday March 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at Cope Memorial Chapel, 458 County Road 6100 Kirtland, New Mexico 87417; We will begin with a family visitation from 9:00am til 10:00am.
Following the funeral will be a graveside Service at Kirtland Fruitland Cemetery, Kirtland, New Mexico.
