Terry Newton was born on September 3, 1958 in a hogan in Otis, New Mexico. His maternal clan is Red Running Into Water and his paternal clan is folded arms people. Terry is the late son of David Newton Sr. and Elsie B. Newton. He resided in Otis at his family's residence most of his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents David Sr. and Elsie Newton, his old brother, Gary Newton, and his younger brother, Jerry Newton. He is survived by his wife, Marlene, his three daughters, Ashley, Sydney, and Gwen, his Five brothers, Larry, Perry, Barry, Darryl, and David Jr., his grandchildren, Braden and Katie, and his many nieces, nephews, and grandkids. 

Terry started work at the age of 16 working for Coors. He was also the maintenance supervisor at San Juan manor, Life Care Center Farmington, and Bloomfield Nursing and Rehabilitation. He continued to work in Bloomfield until he retired. 

Terry's hobbies included drawing, jewelry making, hunting and fishing. He is very well traveled as well. He is known around the community. He is a stubborn man, but he is humble. Terry is very protective of his two girls, Ashley and Sydney. Terry is well loved by many, especially by his girls. He will be greatly missed.

Graveside Service at 10:00AM Saturday May 11, 2024 at BIC Mission in Otis, NM. Rebecca Eldridge will be Officiating the Service 
Reception will be Held at Christian Worship Center.
