William Deinlein

William (Bill) Deinlein, 94 of Bloomfield, New Mexico, died 12/13/2020 of health complications.

Bill was born on 11/12/1926 to parents William Russel Deinlein and Gertrude Mary Fischer Deinlein at home in Haswell Colorado

William was an U.S. Army veteran serving at the end of hostilities as a Military Police officer in Japan.

He  retired after 33 years as an employee of El Paso Natural Gas.  He was also active as a cattle rancher and also was a horseman who bred, boarded and raced horses. Bill stated that he was happiest on horseback working his cattle.

Bill was active in promoting Gymkhana’s for youth in San Juan County, also sponsoring rodeos.

Bill also sponsored his daughter Tami as she competed in Barrel Racing locally  and in State and National High School Events.

Special thanks and affection to the following: Eldon and Johnnie Walker; Rene Doyle; and Kathy Truby for being a constant presence and source of comfort and happiness for Bill. Their care and support were truly heroic and above expectations as they ministered to Bill.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Gean Bickel Deinlein on 01/08/2002; by his son William Steven Deinlein and daughter Tami Ann Dean; parents and sister Vivian Maude George.

Bill is survived by his Daughter Sheryl Gean Georges and spouse Al Georges; and by his son John Bret Deinlein and spouse Marti Deinlein.

Bill is survived by 7 grandchildren who all claim to be the “favorite”:

Lori Brimhall and spouse Zebadiah; Sean Hunnicutt and spouse Anri; Kody Bill Simmons; Brandon Deinlein and spouse Johnna; Amber Romaine and spouse Ian;  Lauren Deinlein; and Cooper Dean.

Bill is also survived by 15 Great Grandkids and 3 Great Great Grandkids.

Funeral arrangements are still pending and due to Covid restrictions, no visitation will be scheduled.

Bill was cremated and will be interred with his wife at a time and date to be determined. Grave site memorial and service with Military Honors in Spring 2021.

Honorary Pall Bearers will include : Brandon Deinlein, Kody Bill Simmons, Canyon Salazar, JoRae Salazar, Trio Salazar, Eldon Walker, Renee Doyle and Kathy Truby.
