Danny Ray Felker

Danny Ray Felker, 71, of Farmington, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 due to complications of surgery in Albuquerque. Danny was born January 17, 1950 in Union Town, Kentucky to Bill and Enda Felker, he was the 3rd of 7 children. Danny leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Patty Jo whom he married on a bet and dare in October 1974. They have 3 children: Kimberly, Stephanie and Danny, Jr.

Danny started driving DIRTTRACK RACECARS at the age of 15 and continued to do so for the next 35 years. He enjoyed late models and being at the track, working on just about anything, shade tree mechanic. Grease and oil were a big part of his pastimes. Danny was a real geter done guy, he liked karaoke needed a bucket to carry a tune. He was a good man, a good friend, but if you crossed him, LOOK-OUT!  He also worked numerous oilfield companies in and around New Mexico, Texas until leaving Aztec Well Service in 2000. Danny was more than a husband, dad, granddaddy, roughneck, and friend and too many of us “Superman.” He will be sadly missed by all.

Danny is survived by his wife, Patty Jo, daughters, Kimberly, Stephanie, grandkids, Beverly, Oory, Preston, Corrallee, Shane, Haley, great grandkids, Steven, Matthew, Ted, sisters, Martha, Debbie, brothers, Wesley (Red) Rick, Eugene, numerous nieces and nephews.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, oldest brother Jim Felker, and his son Danny Ray Felker, Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W Arrington, Farmington, NM. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. Reception at Front Line Mission, 129 N. Behrend Ave., Farmington, N.M.

Pallbearers, Wesley (Red) Felker, James Felker Jr., Joe Boak, Johny Wilson (OO), Terry Reynolds, Tim Yentes (Hollywood). Danny’s care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington.

The Family has requested masks to be worn during the service.
