Joe D. Trujillo

Joe Trujillo entered the Kingdom of heaven on Saturday December 3, 2022. Joe was born in Cuba, NM on March 22, 1936, to Belarmino and Sefora Trujillo. Joe married Maggie and moved to Aztec, NM in 1956 where he barbered for many years. Joe started the City Barber Shop in 1956 and continues to operate to this day. Joe and Maggie had 4 children, Donna, Ron (Shannon), Mike (Natalie), and Loretta.

Joe is preceded in death by his wife Maggie, daughter Donna, granddaughter Jaqueline and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by 5 sisters, 1 brother; his children Ron, Mike and Loretta; grandchildren Cassidy, Trenton, Shandon, Gregory, Siena, Emily, Steven, Bryant, Jonathan, and Russell; great grandchildren Terrance, Tyler, Triana, Luna, Zorianna, Destinee, Davon, Angelee, Darian, Dayton, Damian, Zaina, Callie, Lucus, Marcus, Isabel, Levi, and great-great granddaughter Isabella.

Services for Joe will be held December 30, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Aztec with the Rosary beginning at 11:00 am, mass at 11:30 am, followed by the graveyard service at Aztec cemetery. The dinner potluck will follow the graveyard services at the St. Joseph’s parish hall, main dish provided by Barbara Padilla Catering.
