Ronald Lee Clow

Aztec

Ronald L. Clow 74, of Aztec, NM passed away on April 4, 2021, in Aztec NM. Ronald was born on January 28, 1947, in Drayton, ND to Willis and Winnifred Clow. Ron moved to Aztec in 1953 and was a lifelong resident of Aztec. Ron attended Aztec schools and was drafted by the United States Army his Junior year of high school. When Ron returned from the Vietnam War, he met and married the love of this life, Ruby Blakley, in 1969. Together, Ronald and Ruby raised two children, Rhonda and Ryan.

Ron was a kind and loving husband to Ruby as well as an amazing father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. The love Ron had for his family, friends, and community was absolutely undeniable and in its own right, immeasurable!  Ron played hard, but he loved even harder!

Ron spent more than half of his life loving and caring for his beautiful bride, Ruby. They spent many hours loving and laughing with each other. He was her rock, her confidant, her best friend, and he loved her deeply, as she did him. In the course of their 52 years of marriage, they rarely spent a night apart.  They absolutely took care of each other every step of the way. Together, they built a legacy of love, laughter and friendship that will last an eternity.

Ron was witty, funny, charismatic and quick with a joke. His laugh was absolutely contagious. To say he filled our lives with laughter would be an understatement!

In Ron’s lifetime he had many adventures and the stories are endless. He absolutely loved playing golf with his buddies, coaching and playing softball, working in his yard, fishing, riding motorcycles, and visiting the casino with his beautiful wife Ruby. Ron often took his grandchildren on “Going with PaPa Ron day” and to this day, mums the word with these little adventures.

Ron never met a stranger; he had a way of making you feel like you had known him all your life. If you were his friend, you were his friend for life, and you knew it! Ron was dependable, reliable, and loyal! You could count on him for ANYTHING! There was never any task too big or too small when it came to his family and friends.  If you needed it, he had it. If he didn’t have it, he’d get it; you could “take that to the bank.”

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ruby; daughter, Rhonda Clow of Las Cruces, NM and son Ryan (Sarah) Clow of Aztec, NM. Ronald is also survived by his grandchildren Kaleigh, Winter, Gavin, and Ayden; brothers David Clow of Aztec, NM and Doug (Cindy) Clow also of Aztec, NM. Ronald also leaves behind many special family members and friends that will miss him dearly.
