She is preceded in death by her husband, Orvil Wooley; daughter Virginia Wooley, and grandson Henry (Hank) Veretto.
Mrs. Wooley loved the Lord, and was not shy when it came to sharing the gospel with others. She was a charter member of College Heights Baptist Church where she was a gifted Sunday school and Jr Church teacher for many years, as well as working in the bus ministry and vacation bible school. She is known for being direct and sometimes stern, but she made those she taught feel loved and important. Many adults she taught as young children can still remember the flannel graph lessons and the hand puppets she used when she shared the story of Jesus with them. She loved to cook and create recipes to share, and even at 93 still clipped recipes from magazines.
The memorial service will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at College Heights Baptist Church, 2700 Harvard Drive, Farmington, NM 87402, with Pastor Burson Corley officiating.
